After some people in Pennsylvania accused their electric companies of price gouging; the State’s Attorney General is looking into the issue. Tuesday, she said there were illegal charges.
Elias Forin from Eynon, Lackawanna County has had it with his skyrocketing electric bills— He said, “We need protection we need protection from shady electric companies” Florin is one of the thousands of Pennsylvania residents who are upset over alleged price gouging by electric companies.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Kane told Eyewitness News, “This all began to unfold when the Governor declared a State of Emergency on February 4th and we saw rates going up which is illegal—rates cannot go up more than 20 percent in these type of situations. We want people to send us their bills, contracts and any promotional materials they received from their power supplier”
