Power companies are working around the clock to restore power to the residents of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
The latest numbers are a huge step in the right direction.
PECO estimates 375,000 are without power – many of those in the dark are in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. To date, they have restored 475,000 to full power.
PSE & G says that they have restored 30% of the 1.5 million customers who lost electricity as a result of Hurricane Sandy.
They have approximately 900,000 still in the dark. They have deemed Sandy “the worst storm in PSE & G’s history” because of major flooding in their substations.
Atlantic City Electric customers have 19,208 people without power in Cape May county.
